The first Women's Day started on February 28, 1909 in New York City. It was during the time, in which women fought for economic rights. From there, Women's Day had be known in other countries in Europe. Years later, Women's History Week was established in 1978. A group of women were working hard to revise the school curriculum due to the lack of history books that didn't talk about the contributions or stories of women in the U.S. In 1987, Women's History Month was established.
